Eligible winners in the local competitions will go on to compete in the Regional Waste > Art & Design Competition & Exhibtion to be held in Tamworth during August.
The competition includes categories to challenge and stimulate the imagination. These are:
Primary School Section:
Artworks are invited to be submitted that address the theme "Fantastic Bags - Not Plastic Bags" Primary School students can make and decorate reusable bags from recycled/re-used materials.
Secondary School Section:
Art (2D/3D/Sculpture) Functional Art (Furniture/Inventions/Homewares) Textiles & Wearable Art (Fabric Creations/Clothing/Jewellery)
Open/Community Section:
Art (2D/3D/Sculpture) Functional Art (Furniture/Inventions/Homewares) Textiles & Wearable Art (Fabric Creations/Clothing/Jewellery)
Thanks to the generous support of Country Energy, winners announced as part of the Regional Competition will receive cash prizes (please note that students in the Primary and Secondary School Sections will be awarded prize money on behalf of their Schools).
