The 2008 Regional Waste > Art & Design Competition and Exhibition was held at the Lazenby Hall Annex, University of New England, Armidale in August 2008.

This unique art competition and exhibition was open to all residents in participating Council areas. It celebrated the reuse and recycling of waste in our community through art, sculpture and graphic design.

* Liverpool Plains Shire Council
* Narrabri Shire Council
* Tamworth Regional Council
* Uralla Shire Council

Eligible winners in the local competitions went on to compete in the Regional Waste > Art & Design Competition held in Armidale.

The competition included categories to challenge and stimulate the imagination, which were:

Winners received $400.00, with $150.00 awarded to second place entrants.  Students in the Primary and Secondary School Sections were awarded prize money on behalf of their Schools.
